Mastodons
Snap 3-Game Skid
Chicago,
IL – The IPFW women's volleyball team broke a three-game
losing streak Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Chicago State
Univesity at the Dickens Center.
The Mastodons
won by the scores of 30-24, 22-30, 30-21, and
30-24.
Senior
outside hitter Kirsta Solberg led the 'Dons
hitting attack with 15 kills in the match.
Sophomore
middle hitter Fabiana Souza added 14 kills
to go along with her 12 digs.
Outside
hitters, junior Janelle Pollard and freshman
Nicole Howell, each added ten kills.
Senior
libero Nicole Ray was the only other Mastodon
to dig in double figures with 15.
The win
raises IPFW's record back over the .500 mark at 10-9.
The 'Dons
will compete in the University of Texas at Corpus Christi
tournament this weekend, taking on host Corpus Christi, Texas
Pan-Am, and Alcorn State.
