Indianapolis,
IN – IUPUI used a .346 hitting percentage, and a
20 kill margin, to stop IPFW 3-1 Friday night in Indianapolis.
The ‘Dons
and Jaguars split the first two games 30-23, 26-30,
but IUPUI blasted their way to wins in the third and fourth
30-19, and 30-22.
Four Jaguars
registered double figures in kills, with Rebekah Pallikan
leading the attack with 24.
Fabiana
Souza (So/MH/Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led IPFW with
16 kills and 14 digs.
Junior
setter Lindi Bankowski (Temperance, MI) had
19 assists and 10 digs, and sophomore setter Ashlee
Roth (Leo, IN) also had 19 assists.
The loss
drops IPFW to 9-8 on the season.
The ‘Dons
are right back in action Saturday afternoon (10/4) hosting
Eastern Michigan at the Gates Center. Game time, which was
originally scheduled for 7pm, has been changed to 2pm.
