Mastodons
Winning Streak Grows to Twelve
Fort
Wayne, IN- The nightcap of the 2003 Division I Independent
Volleyball Tournament saw the IPFW Mastodons run their current
winning streak to twelve, with a 3-0 win over Texas A&M
Corpus Christi.
The ‘Dons swept through the Islanders by the scores of 30-25,
30-20, and 30-23.
Fabiana Souza led the way for IPFW with another solid match
of 16 kills, 17 digs, and three service aces.
Kirsta Solberg added 12 kills to the offensive attack, and
Lindi Bankowski registered a double-double with 43 assists
and 11 digs.
The Mastodons (21-9) went 2-0 on the first day of the two
day tournament, and meet the only other 2-0 team Saturday
at 12:30pm, when they take on Northern Colorado.
