2005 Season
Blocking was once again Jackson's bread and butter, but she stepped it up in other areas as well in her junior season. In 105 games Jackson clipped a .204 hitting percentage on 193 kills and an average of 1.84 kills/game. In blocking, Jackson led the 'Dons with 130 total blocks (27 solos, 103 assists). Jackson had one "double-double" this season against Belmont with 10 kills and 12 total blocks. She was also named to the All-Academic Division I Team and received honorable mention for the All-Independent Volleyball Team. Jackson received All-Tournament Team honors at the Western Illinois/Pizza Hut Invitational and the Campus USA Credit Union Class hosted by the University of Florida.
2004 Season
Jackson
saw action in 120 games to make an impact in 2004. She recorded
170 kills (1.42 per game) and 44 digs (0.37 per game).
Blocking was where she excelled the most, recording 25
solos and 129 assists to lead the team in total blocks with
154. She averaged 1.28 blocks per
game.
2003 Season
She appeared in 23 matches in 2003, put down 49
kills, and combined for 43 total blocks (eight solo). Jackson
also totaled 75.5 points.
High School
Jackson was named Second
Team All-SAC her junior year and First Team her senior season.
Two years straight, she was named Most Improved Player at South
Side High and was voted team MVP her senior year. Academically,
Jackson also excelled. She was an Advanced Placement Scholar,
received an Academic Honors Diploma, and graduated in the top
five of her class. Jackson was also a member of the National
Honors Society and
the National French Honors Society.
Personal
Born June 8, 1985, Jackson is the daughter of Steven
and Louise Jackson. She has two brothers, Hugh and Carl. Jackson
is a biology major studying premed. |
