2005 Season
Martins was a force not only offensively, but defensively as well. She posted 221 kills with an average of 2.08 per game and dug up 333 balls. Martins posted "double-doubles" in 10 matches this season. She was named to All-Tournament teams at the Hofstra/Asics Invitational and IPFW's Invitational.
2004 Season
Martins
made an instant impact in 2004. She recorded 292 kills (2.75
k/g), 335 digs (3.16), and 35 service aces. Martins
was named MVP
of the Wisconsin–Green Bay Invitational, helping IPFW take
the title.
Prep
Martins is a 2002 graduate of the Colegio Anchieta Newton
Paiva. She was an outside hitter playing for coach Robson.
In her junior and senior years, Martins was named MVP. Martins
also played club volleyball for Sparta Volei Club under coach
Marcelo Melado.
Personal
Born September 5, 1984, Martins is the daughter of
Altamiro and Maria Imaculada Martins. She has a brother, Rafael.
Martins and Souza share the same hometown, Belo Horizonte. Martins
is majoring in interior design. |
