IPFW women's head volleyball coach Kelley Hartley Hutton has announced the addition of Rebekah Roehm and Jamie Schwartz to the Mastodons' squad for the 2006 season. (more)

IPFW Women's Head Volleyball Coach Kelley Hartley Hutton announces Shannon Reuter and Patricia Azevedo have each signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent to play for the Mastodons in 2006. (more)

Fabiana Souza and the Women's Volleyball team moved up in rankings released today by the NCAA. The Mastodons remained ranked in winning percentage while Souza ranked in kills per game. (more)



IPFW Finishes Third at Independent Tournament
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team went into Saturday undefeated in the tournament, but South Dakota State proved to be the competition that would ruin their streak. IPFW lost to SDSU in five games to go to the consolation bracket. The Mastodons finished the tournament in third place while Utah Valley State took the Independent title. (more)

 

IPFW Undefeated Going Into Final Day of Tournament
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team made a clean sweep of Friday, defeating Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Northern Colorado. The Mastodons will now face South Dakota State at 12:30 pm tomorrow before heading to their final match in the evening. (more)

 

Mastodons Defeat Broncs at Independent Tournament
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team defeated the Lady Broncs of Texas Pan American Thursday afternoon at the Division I Independent Tournament hosted by Northern Colorado. The Mastodons took the match in three games, 30-13, 30-25, 24-30, 30-18. (more)

 

IPFW Volleyball Puts Fans in the Stands
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team not only have a great record, 20-5, they also have well attended matches. The Mastodons averaged 582 fans per home match during the 2005 season. (more)

 

IPFW Takes Their Place Among Nation's Best
The Women's Volleyball team held strong in the NCAA Division I national rankings for digs per game and moved back into the top 30 in winning percentage. Senior Fabiana Souza also held strong in the individual rankings. (more)

The IPFW Mastodons put win 20 in the book after defeating Oakland on Saturday night for the seniors' final home match. IPFW defeated the Grizzlies in three games, 30-13, 30-26, 30-19. (more)

 

IPFW Takes Down Valpo in Three
Valparaiso and IPFW had one thing in common coming into tonight's game, five losses. IPFW left the floor with the win, after defeating the Crusaders in three games, 30-26, 30-24, 30-21. (more)

Mastodons Fall in Four at St. Louis
The Women's Volleyball team traveled to Saint Louis University for their final road match before the Independent Tournament at Northern Colorado. The Mastodons started out on top, taking game one, but fell in four to the Billikens, 3-1. (more)

 

Twice as Nice
IPFW Women's Volleyball has held the top honors of the Independent teams often this season, especially offensively. Fabiana Souza and Peachy Jankowski received honors for the second week in a row. The Mastodons also hold rank in two NCAA categories. (more)



Mastodons Roll Over Cougars in Four
The Mastodons traveled to Chicago State on Sunday for the second meeting this season of the pair. IPFW defeated the Cougars in four games, (25-30, 30-13, 30-20, 30-23). (more)



Mastodons Push Past Jaguars in Three
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team traveled to IUPUI for a tough match on Friday night. The Mastodons defeated the Jaguars in three games. Games one and three went to extra points with final scores of 31-29, 30-22, 35-33. (more)

 

Eagles Push Past Mastodons
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team took on the Eastern Michigan Eagles for the second time this season. It was a tough and forceful match, but the Eagles prevailed in five games, 18-30, 30-27, 30-22, 25-30, 13-15. (more)

Mastodons Down Sycamores
IPFW saw in-state action Sunday afternoon at the Gates Center with a match against Indiana State. The Mastodons put win 16 on the board in three games, 30-20, 30-26, 30-20. (more)

 

Power Outage Not an Issue for Mastodons
A little power outage couldn't stop the Mastodons from defeating the Wright State Raiders in three games Saturday afternoon at the Gates Center. In the middle of game one the power went out for 32 minutes before IPFW finished with final scores of 30-26, 30-20, 30-26. (more)

 

Falcons Defeat Mastodons
The IPFW Women's Volleyball team suffered their third loss at Bowling Green State Wednesday night. The Falcons defeated the Mastodons in three games, (27-30, 18-30, 24-30). (more)

 

IPFW Receives Multiple Honors
IPFW is ranked by the NCAA and remains in the top 50 by RKPI according to the AVCA/RichKern.com. Senior Fabiana Souza also received Independent Offensive Player of the Week honors for a second time. (more)

 

Mastodons Take Win #14 Over Jackrabbits
The Mastodons were off to an easy start on their 14th win when South Dakota State put a wrench in it. IPFW overcame the Jackrabbits in five games. (more)

 

A Little Snow Couldn't Stop the Mastodons
Traveling to North Dakota State required a change in the weather for the Mastodons. Snow was forecasted and a bit fell, but the Mastodons had no problem with the Bison, defeating them in three games. (more)

Ivy League Makes for Tough Competition
Cornell University proved to be tough competition Saturday night during the final match of the IPFW Volleyball Invitational sponsored by U.S. Cellular. The Mastodons fought hard but the Big Red proved tougher, winning in four (30-24, 28-30, 28-30, 30-32). (more)

 

It Took Five, But Dons Survive
The IPFW 2005 Volleyball Invitational presented by U.S. Cellular put the Mastodons to the test as they faced Belmont University in the nightcap. Belmont previously fell to Cornell in four earlier this afternoon. It took five games but IPFW succeeded, improving their record to 11-1. (more)

 

Howell So Nice
IPFW hosted a record crowd and gave them a show they would never forget as the Mastodons defeated the Ball State Cardinals in four games (30-21, 30-28, 19-30, 30-15). Junior Nicole Howell shined and led the Mastodons through game four to take the win in the Dons first Division I win over Ball State. (more)

IPFW remained nationally ranked in winning percentage after suffering their first loss of the season over the weekend. The Mastodons are 24th in the nation for their record of 9-1 (.900), tied with four other schools. (more)

 

Mastodons Bounce Back With Win Over Eagles
IPFW bounced back after Friday night's loss to #7 Florida to defeat the Eagles of Eastern Michigan in three games (30-24, 30-26, 30-28) at the Campus USA Credit Union Classic. This is the first time that IPFW has defeated the Eagles. (more)

Souza Breaks Career Record Over the Weekend
It didn't take long for senior Fabiana Souza to break the career record in kills this season. Just seven matches into the season Souza broke the record in the Mastodons morning match against Southern Mississippi at the Western Illinois Pizza Hut Invitational. (more)

The IPFW Women's Volleyball team traveled to assistant coaches Steve and Julie Florios' old stomping grounds of Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York for the Hofstra/Asics Invitational. The Dons swept the competition at the invite, going 3-0. (more)
