Mastodons Defeat Knights by 21

Fort Wayne , IN - In their second exhibition game of the season the Mastodons started off right where they left off on the last game, defeating the Knights of Marian College, 73-52.

The defense stepped up with 26 steals in the 21 point rout of the Knights. The Mastodons hit 37.9% of their shots from the field and 72.4% from the charity stripe.

Johnna Lewis-Carlisle knocked down an impressive 27 points and had 8 boards for the afternoon. She also posted a team high 7 steals.

Juliane Höhne was the only other Mastodon in double digit points, scoring ten. She was 4 of 7 from the field and perfect at the charity stripe (2-2).

Ashley Johnson had seven steals to match Lewis-Carlisle and 7 assists for the afternoon.

For the Knights, Allison Harris and Brittanie Thompson each had nine points and six boards.

IPFW will travel to Bowling Green State on Nov. 16 for their season opener. Their home opener is Dec. 2 versus Kalamazoo College starting at 7 pm in the Gates Center.
