Dons
Receive "A" for Effort
Ames,
IA -
IPFW faced host Iowa State in the final match-up of the Cyclone
Classic. The Cyclones prevailed, 87-68,
with the Dons fighting all the way to the end.
Johnna
Lewis-Carlisle led
the Dons once again offensively. She connected for 23 points
with 7 three's. She also put up five boards and a block.
Ashley
Johnson and Nanyamka
Moore also hit for double digits. Johnson had 14
points as well as six boards for the evening. Moore had 11
points and six assists and was perfect for the evening, 3-3
from the field and 3-3 from the charity stripe.
Juliane
Höhne led
the Dons defensively with 10 boards. She also connected for
eight points a block and a steal.
The Cyclones
were led by Heather Ezell with 22 points. Four other Cylcones
hit double digits with one double-double for the evening. Nicky
Wieben hit 15 and Lyndsey Medders and Lisa Bildeaux each had
12 points. Brittany Wilkins posted 15 boards and 16 points.
The Mastodons
will stay on the road and face Northern Illinois on January
4. Their next home game is January 7 versus Radford at the
Gates Center.
