Musketeers Too Much For Dons

Cincinnati, OH - IPFW traveled to Xavier after finals concluded but the Musketeers were too much, defeating the Dons, 77-49.

The Mastodons were down by 11 at intermission and the Musketeers opened it up from there, outscoring the Dons 36-19 in the second.

Ashley Johnson posted her first double-double of the season with 10 boards and 10 points. She also had two assists. Johnson was 3 of 5 from the field and 4-5 at the charity stripe.

Johnna Lewis-Carlisle put up the most points for the Mastodons. She scored 12 points in just 19 minutes. She was 2-6 from the three point line, 2-5 from the field and perfect at the line. Lewis-Carlisle also posted a steal and two assists.

For the Musketeers, three were in double digits with one double-double. Suntana Granderson posted 20 points while Tara Boothe put up 14. Kristy Wallner had the double-double for Xavier with 10 points and 10 boards. Deanna Mason made a strong showing with seven boards.

The Mastodons will host UMBC and Winthrop this week. UMBC is first in line with a 7 pm start on Tuesday (12/20) at the Gates Center. The Winthrop game is a 1 pm start on Friday the 23rd in the Gates Center.
