Wright State Defeats IPFW, Records Third Loss

Dayton, OH – Freshman Lindsey Bayer (Norfolk, NE/Norfolk Catholic) scored a career high 16 points against the Raiders but the Dons were unable to complete enough shots to defeat the Raiders. IPFW recorded its third loss with a final score of 98-76.

Bayer was followed by sophomore Ashley Johnson (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) with thirteen points.

Senior Verea Bibbs (Euclid, OH/Euclid) recorded the Dons only double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Bayer and junior Jenny Green (Lansing, MI/Lansing Catholic) followed Bibbs with 8 rebounds each.

At the end of the first half IPFW was down 43-34. During the second half the shooting was better, but not enough to defeat the Raiders.

The bench was very effective for the Dons, scoring 38 of their 76 points. For the evening the Dons hit 23 of 78 from the field, 3 of 23 from beyond the arc, and at the line made 21 of 34 shots.

For Wright State, Rhea Mays and Jeanette Woodberry each contributed 19 points.

IPFW’s next game is at Iowa State on Monday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. Their next home game is Thursday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center.
