Drop Home Opener to Falcons
Fort
Wayne, IN- The Bowling Green State Falcons fought
hard against the IPFW controlled chaos to a final score of
115 to 84.
The Dons were led by sophomore Ashley
Johnson (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo)
with 18 points and 3 steals. She was followed by freshman Johnna
Lewis-Carlisle (Lexington, KY/Henry Clay) with 16 points, 14
of which were in the second half, and 5 steals.
Juniors Jenny
Green (Lansing, MI/Lansing Catholic) and Geneva
Murdock (Fort Wayne, IN/North Side) led the Dons with 5 rebounds
each. Freshman Lindsey Bayer (Norfolk, NE/Norfolk Catholic) was
close behind with four.
The Falcons were led by Liz Honegger with 27 points and Megan
Thorburn with 26. Ali Mann led the Falcons with 13 rebounds.
The Dons shot 27 of 90 from the floor and 10 of 48 from beyond
the arc. At the line they were 20 of 27.
The next home game for the IPFW women is Thursday, December
2 versus the University of Akron Zips at 7:00 p.m. They are on
the road this Sunday at Purdue with a start time of 2:00 p.m.
