Women’s Basketball Hires Assistant

Fort Wayne, IN- IPFW head women’s basketball coach Bruce Patterson has announced the hiring of Niecee Nelson as an assistant coach with the Mastodons.

Nelson comes to IPFW from the University of Wyoming, where she was a graduate assistant. She worked closely with the staff and team on practice and game day coaching, individual workouts, academic support, film exchange, and guard and post development.

Nelson was a two-time NAIA All-American at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.

“The very first time I talked to Niecee I knew she was someone we had to look at,” coach Patterson said. “She has a phone personality that will attract other young people to our school. I have hired a number of people over my career and I have never had a group of references more enthusiastic about a candidate. We look forward to having Niecee on our staff!”
