Bears Attack Dons in Second Half

Greeley, CO – The Mastodons were down by only three at half to the Bears of the University of Northern Colorado, 27-30. Unfortunately the Bears went on the attack and out scored the Dons 21-47 in the second. UNC finished IPFW with a final score of 77-48.

The Dons were led by the senior class in the scoring department. Verea Bibbs (Euclid, OH/Euclid) had 13 points and Courtney Nicley (Lebanon, IN/Western Boone) had nine.

Defensively, freshman Lindsey Bayer (Norfolk, NE/Norfolk Catholic) had seven boards. Sophomore Hilary O'Connell (Warsaw, IN/Warsaw) had six rebounds. Freshman Sarah Glowacki (Freeland, MI/Freeland) had three steals with three other teammates recording two steals each.

For the Bears, Danielle Hagen recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Kalya Flavin had 10 points for the evening.

The Mastodons are on the road at Utah on New Years Day. Their next home game is Wednesday January 5 versus Detroit at the Memorial Coliseum with a 6:00 p.m. start time.
