Bulldogs Take a Bite Out of Mastodons

Des Moines, IN – The Mastodons traveled to the Knapp Center at Drake University to take on the Bulldogs for their second game in two weeks in Iowa. The Bulldogs defeated the Dons with a final score of 70-52.

The Dons were led by sophomore Hilary O'Connell (Warsaw, IN/Warsaw) with eight points. Freshmen Sarah Glowacki (Freeland, MI/Freeland), Lindsay Bayer (Norfolk, NE/Norfolk Catholic) and sophomore Ashley Johnson (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) each chipped in seven points.

Defensively, senior Verea Bibbs (Euclid, OH/Euclid) led the Dons with eight boards. Junior Jenny Green (Lansing, MI/Lansing Catholic) and Johnson each had five rebounds. Johnson also recorded five steals for the evening, a career high.

Drake was led by Erin Dohrmann with 16 points and eight boards. She was followed by Jill Martin with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Mastodons are home again on Saturday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center.
