Mastodons Lose in Coca Cola Consolation

St. Louis, MO- The Stony Brook women's basketball team opened the second half with a 22-6 run and never looked back, topping IPFW 83-66 in the consolation game of the Coca-Cola Billiken Classic, Saturday evening at Saint Louis University.

Stony Brook junior Danyelle Ingram posted a game-high 23 points while freshman Jessica Smith tallied career-bests of 21 points and seven rebounds.

Verea Bibbs led the Mastodons with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

Freshman guard Leisha Walker was the only other 'Don in double figures with thirteen.

IPFW (0-5) will look for their first win of the season, traveling to Akron, Ohio on Tuesday (12/2) to face the Zips. Game time is 7:30pm.
