Gearlds-Bibbs Hit National Rankings

Fort Wayne, IN- In the latest Division-I Women’s Basketball rankings, two IPFW Mastodons are listed among the Nation’s elite.

Senior forward Amy Gearlds (Beech Grove, IN) is 42nd in the Nation in points per game. The sharp-shooter is averaging 18.9 points a contest. Emily Faurholt of Idaho is the National leader at 24.5 ppg.

Gearlds is also ranked 18th in the country in three-point field goals per game at 2.9. Kim Mac Millan of St. John’s is the leader at 4.0.

Gearlds needs to average 9.5 points per game over the ‘Dons final 13 games to eclipse the 1500-point mark for her career.

Verea Bibbs (Jr/C/Euclid, OH) is 15th in the Nation in field goal shooting accuracy. Bibbs has connected on 60.5 % of her attempts this season. Vanessa Wyffels of Wagner is setting pace with a 68.2 percentage.
