IPFW Has Tough Time with Indiana State

Fort Wayne, IN-Indiana State University registered five players in double figures, in a 104-61 beating of IPFW, Wednesday night at the Hilliard Gates Center.

Guard Lisa Verhoff led the Sycamores’ attack with 20 points, on 8 of 10 shooting. Verhoff was 4-5 from the three-point line.

Melanie Boeglin (14), Erin Rhodes (14), Celeste Hlebovy (13), and Stephanie Lisch (11) all scored in double figures of Indiana State (5-3).

The Mastodons (2-8) were led, once again, by senior forward Amy Gearlds (Beech Grove, IN) with 20 points.

Junior guard Courtney Nicley (Lebanon, IN) as the only other ‘Don in double figures with thirteen.

IPFW will return to action, with a New Years Eve day game, at the Gates Center. The Mastodons will host Murray State at 1pm.
