2003-04 Season:
Boyd averaged 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds per game...She started
three of 28 games and averaged 11.3 minutes per game...Boyd
recorded four steals and twenty blocks for the season...Boyd
made 35 of 66 (.530) from the field...At the free-throw line
Boyd made all three of her attempts...She recorded a total
of forty six rebounds, two assists, and twelve turnovers for
the season.
2002-03
Season:
Boyd averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game…She played in
twenty-six of the twenty-eight games and averaged 6.3 minutes a
game…had a season high four points against three teams this year…She
had a season high six rebounds against Bowling Green State (12/11/02)…She
shot 14-of-38 (.368) from the floor…at the charity stripe she was
4-of-6 (.667)…She led the team in total blocks with fourteen.
Before Coming to IPFW:
Boyd is a 6-5 freshman from North Judson, Indiana. She is a three-year
varsity basketball letter winner. She helped her team to two
Regional championships and two trips to the Class 2A Final
Four. She has numerous team awards, including a pair of Mental
Attitude Awards and Most Improved Player. Boyd also holds the
school record for blocks in the season with an impressive 131.
She was named to both South Bend Tribune’s All-Area team and
Post Tribune’s All Area team. Boyd has also been successful
in the classroom, where she graduated with a 3.8 GPA and in
the Top Ten Percent of her class, including an Academic Honors
Diploma.
