With Gold Gone, USA Aims for Bronze

Daegu, South Korea- The United States men’s volleyball team ran into a buzz saw Friday, in the form of the Republic of Korea, at the World University Games in South Korea.

The Koreans dashed any U.S. hopes of Gold with a three-set sweep, 25-17, 25-23, and 25-16.

The Republic of Korea will now face Japan in the finals of the World University Games. Japan made it to the Gold Medal match by dropping France 3-1 in their Semi Final.

IPFW Head Coach Arnie Ball’s team will still have a chance to medal in the tournament. They will take on France in the Bronze Medal match on Sunday.
