Fort Wayne, IN - The Michigan State Spartans came in and dominated Wednesday afternoon at the IPFW Softball Complex. The Mastodons dropped game one after the Spartans posted 13 runs in five innings to finish, 13-2. Game two went the distance but with the Spartans on top once again, 7-0.

Michigan State started off early with runs, posting four in the first. The Mastodons got on the board in the bottom of the first after Abby Liden singled to third and was advanced to second on a wild pitch. Michigan State would continue to add runs throughout the game. They added nine more in the next four innings to take a 13-1 lead.

The Mastodons wouldn't get on the board again until the bottom of the fifth. Stone hit a double and was brought in by Beachy on a double to left center. IPFW fell, 13-2 in five innings.

Beachy went 2-3 with two RBIs while Liden and Stone each were 1-2 with one run. Katie Aspegren struck out seven in five innings.

The nightcap started with Michigan State posting three runs in the second. The Spartans would continue their scoring with a run in the fourth and three more in the seventh to defeat the 'Dons, 7-0.
