Coach Keith Fisher
Keith Fisher
enters his seventh season with IPFW Softball. This is Fisher's sixth season as head coach. In 1999 he was a volunteer assistant coach for the softball team.
He is
a graduate of the University of St. Francis where he received
a Bachelors
in Business Management and Education in 1968. Fisher then received
his Masters of Education from the University of St. Francis in
1970.
Fisher was a business teacher at North Side High School for 31 years
before retiring. Fisher helped coach at Woodlan High
School
for four years while also coaching softball for girls in the Woodburn
summer leagues.
Dennis Smith
begins his sixth season as IPFW's pitching coach.
Smith has
participated
in the game of fastpitch softball either as a player or coach for
the last 20 years.
His playing accomplishments include competing
in the Regional Tournament (1994) which was held in Kansas City,
Missouri. From 1989-1997, Smith competed in the Iowa (ISC) State
Tournament. He has coached at the High School level (1998) and
also at the college level as pitching coach for Loras College
in Dubuque,
Iowa from 1996-1998.
