Indianapolis,
IN- IPFW head men’s and women’s soccer coach Terry Stefankiewicz has been selected to be inducted into the
Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame.
Induction
ceremonies will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m.
at the Adams Mark Hote,l located at the airport
in Indianapolis.
Stefankiewicz has led the soccer program at IPFW since 1978.

history.
Besides his duties as head coach, Stefankiewicz is also very
involved in the Fort Wayne community. He is founder and former
president of the Pepsi Youth Soccer Organization and coaches
a traveling summer squad.
Stefankiewicz was the driving force behind the wildly successful
IPFW Soccer Showcase, bringing the top collegiate soccer programs

showcase included the eventual men’s and women’s Division-I
NCAA Champions (North Carolina and Indiana). He also initiated
the “Mini ‘Dons Soccer League”, a free instructional league
for kids in grades K-4. The unique program was so successful
that it was featured nationally in the NCAA News.
Coach Stefankiewicz
has also been a major factor in the organization of the Community
Park, located across St Joseph's River from IPFW.
“We recognized
Terry this year because of his volunteer efforts,” said Hall-of-Fame
member Chuck Graham. “He has done a lot
of great things for the sport of soccer in the past 25 years.”
A Gary
native, Stefankiewicz is the only person to be enshrined
this year.
He graduated
from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in physical
education in 1972. He received a master's
degree in physical education two years later form Saint
Francis College in Fort Wayne. While at IU, he played for
fellow
Hall-of-fame inductee, Jerry Yeagley.
