IPFW Ranked Nationally in Attendance Increase

Fort Wayne, IN- According to figures just released by the NCAA, IPFW showed one of the largest increases in men’s basketball attendance in the nation during the 2003-04 season.

The Mastodons ranked 20th in attendance increase from the previous year, averaging 1,221 more fans than in 2002-03.

"Our decision to move our Men's Basketball games to the Memorial Coliseum was a success,” said IPFW Director of Athletics Mark Pope. “On a pure attendance basis, our attendance figures are ahead of our peers by a significant margin. And, on a percentage basis, we finished second in the nation in increase in attendance - more than doubling last year's figures.” “I'm extremely proud of our coaches and staff for their untiring efforts in achieving this goal."
