Bowling Green Torches IPFW

Bowling Green, OH- Bowling Green State shot a blistering 79-percent in the first half, and cruised to an 86-70 win over IPFW, at Anderson Arena on Tuesday night.

The Falcons hit 23 of their first 29 shots, while taking a 53-34 half-time lead.

The 16-point loss spoiled a career night from freshman guard Jason Malone (Indianapolis, IN). Malone, who had missed the past five games nursing an injury, hit five three-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points.

The Mastodons also shot the ball well, hitting 50-percent in the first half and 44-percent for the game.

The Falcons (6-1) featured four players in double-figures, with Josh Almanson equaling Malone's total of 22 points.

IPFW got double-digit efforts from senior center David Simon (13) and sophomore guard Quintin Carouthers (12).

With the loss, IPFW falls to 3-8 on the season. They return to action on Thursday night (12/23), hosting the University of Maine at the Coliseum, at 7pm.
