Butler Dominates IPFW

Indianapolis, IN - The Butler Bulldogs shot 52-percent from the floor and had no trouble in dropping the visiting IPFW Mastodons, 73-39, Saturday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The Bulldogs reeled of a 17-0 run early in the ball game and never looked back.

Butler registered three players in double figures. Bruce Horan and Brandon Polk shared game-high honors with 15 points each. Guard Avery Sheets added ten.

The Mastodons were led by senior center David Simon with 14 points, but Simon was held to just one rebound in the game.

It was only the third time this season that IPFW was out-rebounded. Butler won the battle of the boards 35-24.

IPFW falls to 3-7 on the season, and will travel to Bowling Green, on Tuesday night, for a 7pm game with the Falcons.
