Broncos Improve to 11-1

Kalamazoo, MI - After blowing out Marshall University by 25 points two nights ago, Western Michigan picked up right where they left off on Wednesday night, dropping IPFW 77-48 at University Arena.

IPFW looked like the might make a game out of it early on. Mid-way through the first half, IPFW had a one point lead on the Broncos at 17-16. But, from that point, WMU would out score the 'Dons 24-9 to take a 41-25 lead at the half.

In the second half, the Broncos (11-1) increased their lead to 30 points on a three-pointer by the game's high scorer, Reggie Berry, and WMU coasted to the easy win.

The Mastodons had four players in double figures on the night. Jim Kessenich (Sr/F/Pewaukee, WI) led the 'Dons with 13 points. Beau Bauer (Fr/G/Walton, IN), Keion Henderson (Sr/F/Gary, IN) and David Simon (Jr/C/Vernon Hills, IL) each chipped in 10 points. Simon added 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double in five games.

IPFW returns home, looking to get back into the win column, on Saturday night (1/17) hosting Texas A&M Corpus Christi, in the second half of a men's volleyball/basketball double-header at the Coliseum.
