Valparaiso, IN- Junior center David Simon broke the IPFW single season record for blocks, but the Mastodons were beaten by Valparaiso 83-61.

Valparaiso jumped out to a 20 point lead at the half (43-23) and never looked back.

Simon led the Mastodons in scoring with 18 points.

Senior forward Jim Kessenich added 11 in the loss.

Valpo (14-12) go 18 points from forward Dan Oppland and ten from guard Ali Berdiel.

The loss drops IPFW to 3-24 on the season. They will host IUPUI Monday night (3/1) in the final game of the season. One lucky IPFW student is going to drive away with a 2-year lease on either a Dodge Dakota or Hyundai Tiburon, from Glenbrook Dodge Hyundai, in the Great Campus Car Giveaway!
