Fort Wayne, IN– Former IPFW center David Simon put together a very solid performance with the Minnesota Timberwolves Summer League team.

In summer league action, held from July 15-19 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Simon started four of the five games that the T-Wolves played. He is also starting to get more comfortable at the power forward position, a change from being in the middle in college.

Simon averaged 4.6 points per game, to go along with 3.2 rebounds per contest. The more telling figures are that he shot 56.3 percent from the floor and kept out of foul trouble.

Simon's best game, in the five game summer league, came against the Houston Rockets. He scored 10 points, on 4-5 shooting from the floor and was 2-3 from the line. He also pulled down six rebounds (3 offensive-3 defensive).

According to his agent Mike Naiditch, it now becomes a waiting game for the Vernon Hills, Illinois native.

He will wait to see if he gets an invitation to the Timberwolves veteran's camp, or he may explore his option of playing overseas.
