Before coming to IPFW: Posley was an early signee for the Mastodons. He played
point guard for head coach Roy Condotti at Homewood Flossmoor High School in Illinois. With the Vikings, Posley was part of a state runner-up team in 2004 and a team that reached the Sweet 16 in 2005.

Posley was named Northwest Times Pre-season All-Area. Northwest Times All-Area Honorable Mention, and Star Newspaper All-Area Honorable Mention in the Chicago, Illinois area.
