Scholarships

Arthur W. Friedel Scholarship

Scholarship for a chemistry major with academic achievement, chosen by the Chemistry Scholarship Committee. Funded by this professor of chemistry who has been on the IPFW faculty since 1967 and was the 1988 recipient of the Friends of the University Outstanding Teacher Award.

Chemistry Faculty/Alumni Scholarship

Scholarships based on academic achievement, student activities, and an essay, selected by the Chemistry Scholarship Committee. Funded by faculty and alumni.

David P. Onwood Memorial Scholarship

For a junior or senior specializing in physical chemistry research or with special achievement in physical chemistry. Endowed by friends and family of the late professor of chemistry (1966-1990).

Dr. Beaumont S. Cornell Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman enrolled full-time and majoring in pre-med, based on academic achievement.

Leepoxy Plastics Inc. Chemistry Scholarship

Scholarship awarded to a student majoring in chemistry. This award, based on outstanding academic achievement and selected by the Chemistry Scholarship Committee, is given by Lawrence H. Lee, president and owner of Leepoxy Plastics, Inc.

Robert E. Wise Arts & Sciences Scholarship

(Shared among 8 departments on a rotating basis.) Scholarship awarded, typically once every four years to a chemistry major, at the junior or senior level and based on academic achievement. Endowed by the late professor emeritus of physics (1948-1982).
