PLAN YOUR MAJOR REQUIREMENTS TO GRADUATE - WHAT TO DO BEFORE MEETING WITH YOUR ADVISOR
If you are seeking registration advise from your adviser, you will first need to access the following information:
- IPFW Undergraduate Bulletin information - available online (click here and select the appropriate year when you entered IPFW).
- If Anthropology is your primary major, get a copy of your BINGO sheet from the departmental secretary in Kettler G11A. A blank BINGO sheet is available as a PDF by clicking here.
- Suggested Course Sequencing Guide – The Department of Anthropology provides a guide suggesting the sequence of courses to be taken in order to complete your degree. The Suggested Course Sequence is available as a PDF by clicking here.
- Using your resources listed above; complete a draft of your Four Year Graduation Plan (USE A PENCIL.). You can find a copy of the Four Year Graduation Plan Form by clicking here.
- Finally, make an appointment with your Academic Advisor in the Department of Anthropology and bring your filled out forms. It is strongly suggested that you make this appointment during the 5th or 6th week of the semester since registration will be shortly after that time, and advisors will be very busy with appointments.
- Write down any questions you might have regarding General Education, Arts and Sciences Distributional Requirements, Major requirements, or any other questions you might have before you meet with your advisor.
NOTE: You may want to make a copy of your forms for your own records.
What to do during your meeting with your Academic Advisor:
- Bring your draft of your projection plan to your advising appointment and review the plan with your advisor.
- Ask your advisor to sign off on your Four Year Graduation Plan Form after making any necessary adjustments or suggestions for changes. This is not intended to be a static contract, but instead a general plan that can be modified as necessary.
