Evan Lunceford (2017-2018)

Evan Lunceford Student Body President

Evan is a Junior Mechanical Engineering major. He served for two years on the IPSGA Student Senate before being elected to Student Body President, and served as the Senate President Pro Tempore for the 2016-2017 term. He is also involved with several organizations on campus, including Engineers Without Borders, Men Advocating and Cultivating Healthy Outcome (MACHO), and LOL IPFW E-Sports.

As Student Body President, Evan hopes to build stronger connections between IPSGA and the student body at large, and help make IPSGA more accessible to students. He is also dedicated to ensuring that IPSGA is able to make a smooth transition as IPFW becomes Purdue Fort Wayne in July 2018.

The Student Body President serves at the primary representative and advocate for students to the university leadership, represents IPSGA at official university events and at Board of Trustees meeting, holds veto power over legislation passed by the Student Senate and the Student Activities Board, and presides over All-IPSGA meetings. The President also makes student appointments to university committees, including the Student Travel Committee and the Campus Appeals Board.
