Salvation Army Looking for After School Volunteers

The Salvation Army Community Youth Center is looking for individuals who would be willing to volunteer at their after-school program during the school year.  Volunteers must be Christian, must have a heart for reaching the youth of Fort Wayne for Christ, are reliable and willing to volunteer from 2:45-6 p.m. as much as possible on weekdays.  Volunteers are needed to work with elementary, middle school and high school youth.  If interested, contact Joshua Hazeldine at joshua_hazeldine@usc.salvationarmy.org or call 260-744-2311.

Volunteer Musicians and Youth Workers Needed

Trinity United Methodist Church is looking for volunteer vocalists and instrumentalists for their 11 a.m. Sunday morning outreach service--casual and contemporary.  They also need help in cooking and cleaning up after their Wednesday evening community meat at 5:30 p.m.  Just before that, at 4:30, they could use volunteers to work with middle school youth in a casual setting playing games and having good conversation.  If you are interested in helping Trinity UMC in any of these capacities, contact Pastor Debbie Smith at 260-422-7924 or email her at deb.smith@inumc.org.

Children's Director/Leader Needed for Church in Monroeville, Indiana

The Monroeville Church of the Nazarene is looking for a part-time Children's Director/Leader to help start a children's ministry on Sunday mornings (and possibly one night a week).  This is a 4-8 hour a week paid position in a small town just east of Fort Wayne.  Since the holidays are fast approaching, we are flexible with a starting date.  Please contact Pastor Travis at monroevillenazchurch@gmail.com with any interest or questions.

Music Leader Needed for Church in Paulding, Ohio

Grace Community Church in Paulding, Ohio is looking for a music leader.  This person should be able to play the guitar or piano and sing.  They would be required to communicate song selection to the church during the week and then prepare to lead the church in worship on Sunday morning.  This is a paid position.  If interested, contact Cameron Michael at cmichael@ohiograce.com.

Local Church looking for a Youth Pastor

Volunteers Needed to Work with Developmentally and Intellectually Disabled

SonRise Ministries is a Christian, summer camp for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)  in Anderson, IN. Each summer we offer a ten-week paid internship for college students. Eligible college students will have an opportunity to grow in their faith, understand their identity in Christ, sharpen leadership skills, and work and live in a Christian community with other volunteers and people with disabilities. We don’t care where you are in your faith journey. We just require that you have a desire to grow in your faith. As an intern you are responsible for leading a cabin each week, mentoring the volunteers, building Christian community, providing personal care for people with IDD, leading Bible studies and so on. Church looking for volunteers to work in vegetable garden, with youth, and in their music ministry

Volunteers needed for after-school program working with children

The North Highlands Center for Learning runs an after-school program from 3:30-5:00 p.m. (Monday-Thursday) during which students receive tutoring, snacks, play games and do arts and crafts--and even enjoy a time of singing.  NHCL is looking for volunteers to work with these precious children.  Please call Grace Presbyterian Church at 260-426-4712 if you are interested in helping.

Volunteers needed for a neighborhood outreach program on Wednesday afternoons

Forest Park United Methodist Church is looking for volunteers to staff their outreach to neighborhood children on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 p.m.  It is quite informal--homework help, conversation, billiards, ping pong--just hanging out with the kids.  Most are boys from middle to high school in age.  Basketball or football outside will be other ways to engage these young people.  And a free home-cooked meal is provided at 5:30 p.m.  If you are interested in helping, call Forest Park UMC at 260-484-6696.  Transportation can be provided for you to the church.
