Admission Requirements for Home-schooled Students

Successful applicants from home schooling follow curriculum requirements of the Indiana CORE 40 or Academic Honors Diploma. The IPFW Office of Admissions strongly encourages you to have personal interview with the home-school specialist. Email Admissions to schedule an interview, or use the Request for Information form.

Recommended Process

  1. Take the SAT I or ACT test late in the junior year or early in the fall of the senior year.
  2. Format your home-school transcript as required by the IPFW Admissions Office. Following these requirements can result in a transcript that can be used for any college or university to which you apply.
  3. Apply for admission when 6 semesters of grades and SAT I or ACT scores are available. Students may be admitted pending the senior year transcript or applications may be held until seventh-semester grades are submitted. Depending on quality indicators, applicants may be required to take the IPFW placement tests in English and mathematics as a part of the application process.
