Well I’m finishing up last minute papers and assignments before heading into finals. This semester I only have two but they are back to back on Thursday. I finished the other classes already so I’m happy for that! This leaves only chemistry and Spanish to study. Then, next week I have to also clean and pack up to head home for the summer. I leave on Saturday so I have at least another week. In other news, I might be getting an internship after all. I just need to make a few calls and then hopefully I will get it! This weekend I’m helping with the spring campus open house, probably one of my last events as a STAR before the next school year. Hopefully the weather will be sunny and warm. Also this weekend, my friend Ryan may be coming to visit but that is still not set in stone. Well I’d like to thank you, the readers, for following my blog through the school year. Good luck with finals and I will talk to you all soon!

Easter was great! I got an Easter basket filled with candy and everything. I also helped out with the dinner at the church on Saturday. I got to see some old friends too. The weather’s been so nice lately I can’t wait for summer! Classes are almost over too which is always good. I just have to finish up a 4-5 page paper for my Spanish Lit. class and write a paper for my chemistry class then it’s on to finals. This semester has gone by so fast, the fastest one yet. I still need to figure out what I’m going to do for the summer. I wanted to intern at a dental office and babysit but no one seems to need interns. I don’t just want to babysit all summer so maybe I’ll hang out with a bunch of people to keep me busy. The jury’s still out on whether or not I get into IPFW’s dental hygiene program so I can’t wait to find out. Unfortunately, I have until June. Either way it should be a great summer!

Well I got an A on my Chemistry test! I’m so excited! I’m glad school’s almost over but sad all at the same time. I might be back at IPFW next year but then again I might be in Indy. I hate not knowing where I’ll be. To make matters worse, I have to get a new roommate which could be bad but it also might be great at the same time. I’m going to miss Baldemar and Sara next year even if they won’t. But otherwise I hope everything works out. I got some sad news last night: my dog who has been a part of our family since I was five was put to sleep. My parents didn’t even tell me until after the fact. I don’t know why they couldn’t have waited until I came home this weekend so I could at least say goodbye. She hadn’t gotten worse since the last time I saw her so I don’t know why they did. Anyway on that sad note I’m going to go, have a great Easter everyone.

Sorry I’m a little late everyone. This has been a busy week. Last weekend I went to Indy for a dental hygiene meeting and to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Baldemar and Brittany also came. The funny thing with Baldemar was that Sara and I bet him that he couldn’t fast for two days but he proved us wrong. We were both surprised because he is always eating. But anyway, on the way down to Indy, the weather was horrible! It was raining and storming so bad that I could barely see the road. At one point I looked at the speedometer and noticed traffic was only traveling at about 45 mph on I-69. When we were almost to Indy, it stopped raining and we made it there safe. The dental hygiene meeting was at 9am on Saturday and didn’t end until 12pm. Later that night, we celebrated Michelle’s birthday. It was a Colts-themed party and was fun! Sunday we ended up driving back to Fort Wayne and it ended up raining again; this time it wasn’t as bad as before. This week I also had a chemistry test which I think I did well on! Other than that it was generally the same routine with a couple of meetings thrown in. I hope everyone else had a great week!

Ok so normally I give an overall synopsis of my week but this time I’m just going to fill everyone in about my weekend. Last weekend I went home to babysit again but this time I was moving into the Martins’ house while they went to Chicago. It was a blast! They just built a brand new house and bought four huge lcd tvs in additional to the others that they already had. All the appliances are state-of-the-art and are mostly digital. But anyway, the weekend started for me on Friday afternoon. Mackenzie, Will, and I ended up just chillin at their house that night. I made them dinner and we watched the movie Chicken Little. That’s not a bad movie. The bad part came when I was woken up by Will at 6:45am!! I never get up that early! That day we hung out for awhile then Will went with his grandpa to Lunkers while Mackenzie and I went out to lunch and to get Ritters. We also got to play with puppies, which she really enjoyed. Later, Will came back and Mackenzie left to go see a movie, have dinner, and hang out with her cousin and aunt. They didn’t end up coming back until 10:15pm. During that time Will and I played Ice Age 2 on the Xbox, watched the Shaggy D.A., and had dinner. The rest of the night went well. The bad part came when Will woke me up at 6:45am again telling me to come into his room to show me something. Sometime in the night he had thrown up and it was all over. It was so disgusting! He kept telling me he didn’t throw up. Anyway, I was up early again cleaning that up and washing sheets. I also made breakfast and he seemed fine. Later, we went out to eat at Hacienda and he just layed down in the booth because he said his stomach started hurting. I really hoped he wasn’t going to get sick again. After that though, their parents came home soon afterwards. I made $240 for babysitting the weekend. It was great!

Wow what a week! This past weekend I went home again to babysit. The kids were good so that was not a problem. We climbed trees and I almost fell off. It was kinda scary. The kids thought it was funny because I kept telling them to be careful so they wouldn’t fall off. Also, this week seemed similar to a vacation because I didn’t have any quizzes or tests to study for. It was amazing! Two classes also got cancelled. Whoo hoo! This next weekend I’m babysitting again but I am moving into the people’s house. It’s going to be amazing! They are even letting me use one of their cars while I’m there. The problem is coming up with things to entertain the kids all weekend with. I’m thinking that I will take the kids to see a movie and then probably out for lunch or dinner. Who knows what else their parents have planned for us to do. I just hope that I am not tired of kids after this weekend because next week will be busy!
