Amanda is a 2003 graduate of Snider High School and chose to attend IPFW because she could stay close to home and earn a Purdue nursing degree. Since Amanda has been on campus she's been involved in several activities including the Admissions Office program called STARs. STARs are student tour guides that help support the counselors by giving tours and providing other support services throughout the year. Even though she is very active on campus, Amanda is a model student in the classroom. Her favorite professors include Dr. Pacheco in Communications, Dr. Shannon in Biology and Dr. Visalli in Microbiology. Anyone who can make Microbiology fun tops her list of great professors! Her most significant moment at IPFW came the day she was admitted into our Nursing program. The Nursing program at IPFW is extremely competitive and challenging for any student, but Amanda has passed her first year with flying colors. Follow her journey this year as she turns the corner and begins the final stretch of classes that will make her a nurse.
