Accounting Concentration

If you crave excitement, leadership, flexibility, rewards, challenges, and success, consider majoring in business with a concentration in accounting. An accountant must be able to communicate clearly, be good at working with people as well as computers, and have the ability to analyze and interpret facts and figures quickly.

Today’s accountants are decision makers who analyze and interpret financial statements. Often they follow a leadership route through their organizations. You may choose a career in corporate, government, private, or public accounting, or in internal auditing. All organizations need accountants, and your degree will open the door to any field that interests you. Duties vary according to the field you choose, but analyzing and interpreting financial data and making decisions based on your specialized knowledge are essential to all areas of accounting.
