Biography

Professor Francine S. Guice received her Juris Doctorate degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1983. She joined the faculty of the Richard T. Doermer Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences in 2003. Professor Guice comes to academic life after an extensive and rewarding career in large corporations such as Dell Computer and Texaco Inc.

Interests and Research

Professor Guice’s areas of teaching expertise are business and commercial law, the regulatory environment and technology law. Her current research interests include Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Asset Management, Nanotechnology, employment and commercial law. She has written several professional articles in these areas and is active in several professional and academic organizations.

Community

Professor Guice actively supports the local community by her service as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Fort Wayne Urban League. Additionally, she is a member of the Fort Wayne Links Incorporated, Pi Lambda Theta, and the Fort Wayne African-American Cancer Alliance.

Professor Guice is a member of the international business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi and served as the faculty advisor for the Richard T. Doermer Richard T. Doermer School of Business and Management Sciences chapter of Delta Sigma Pi from 2004-2006.
