Completing the FAFSA
To receive student financial aid, you need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every school year. FAFSA on the Web allows you to complete and submit your financial aid application electronically.
After completing your FAFSA, continue to check your e-mail as your Award Notification and/or Edit Notification will be sent via e-mail.
If you receive an Edit Notification, additional information and/or a correction is needed on your FAFSA. Follow the steps below if you receive an Edit Notification. Complete these steps before May 15, 2011:
*Go to the e-student website: www.scholars.in.gov and click e-student link on right side of page.
*Create an account by clicking on "Register Now" - be sure to save your login info. View the corrections or information needed.
*Next go to www.fafsa.ed.gov. Under #3 click on "Make a correction to a processed FAFSA."
*Make the necessary corrections or additions - be sure to save and submit.
