Welcome

Welcome to the office of 21st Century Scholars at Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne. The 21st Century Scholars Program began in 1990 as Indiana's way of increasing the educational aspirations of low- and moderate-income families. The program aims to ensure that all Indiana families can afford a college education for their children. Indiana's northeast regional office is housed at IPFW with the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. The program recruits income-eligible seventh and eighth grade students.

Participating students must comply with a pledge to receive eight semesters of free college tuition. 21st Century Scholars is also a support program for these students from middle school through high school graduation. The program provides a parent network, both student and parent workshops, tutoring opportunities, college visits, and summer camp opportunities.

We support the following counties: Allen, Dekalb, Adams, Steuben, Wells, Whitley, Noble, and Huntington.
